Being a magazine photographer has given me the privilege of photographing some very interesting people. Folks are surprisingly accessible here. And, save for the uber-elite, everyone is refreshingly down-to-earth.

The first shoot I ever did here was with a Chinese actress who was headlining a Chopard fashion show. That was way back in 2003. Barely a week off the Philippines, I had no idea who she was - Her name was Gong Li.

Here's my "celebrity panel" for the recently-held One Asia: Images of Asia Festival...


This panel stood inside a crowded Suntec Convention Center hall, beside those of Steve McCurry, Mike Yamashita, James Whitlow Delano and my friend Manny Librodo, whom I finally met face-to- face after five years.

It's been an awesomely crazy month. Aside from holding two travel photography workshops, house-hunting and working my photo-editor post, I've managed to squeeze in a bit of travel as well. The above, however, was the second-best highlight of the month.

The numbah one highlight was meeting the Cebu Pacific Airways dancing flight attendants:
