Typhoon "Pedring" (international code: Nesat) blew a swath of destruction across Luzon yesterday, and nowhere is this more easily seen than in Manila Bay, at the heart of the Philippine capital:

Had some interesting discussions on street photography lately.

Quiapo, Manila:
Quatros Machos

It's a photography genre with a rather broad definition - one that inspires countless discussions, rants, arguments, and occasionally flames on the internet. I'm not gonna try to get into the thick of it all. For me, street photography shows genuine, interesting moments on the streets. These can be candid, or posed to an extent. As long as it gives us an interesting slice of life out there. That's about it.

Intramuros, Manila:
Karts

I'd rather keep it broad. Less constrains, more creative possibilities :)

Montmartre, circa 2011:

Montmartre

This is a straight scan. It's amazing how this city manages to look old - you can underexpose or overexpose the photo or even scratch the negative. Put dust marks, whatever on it - and the city will only look older. Amazing :)

A boy wearing full traditional dress strikes a pose during the recent Hari Raya aidilfitri celebrations at Little India's Abdul Gafoor mosque:

The morning prayers were interesting to watch. Afterwards, the food came non-stop :)
