In Thailand this would be the elephant :

So revered are they in Thai society that they are considered as close as family.

I bought my first digital camera in 2003 - a 3.1mp Kodak DC4800. That baby came with a flash sync cord, a 28-70mm zoom and wide and tele adaptor lenses. I got it for a Php69,000 (S$2,155). Php69,000!!!! Just this weekend I got a Sony-Ericsson T700 cameraphone. No zoom, no autofocus, but it has a 3.1mp sensor, and the image quality rivals that of my Kodak.

It came free with a 2-year subscription plan :)

Almost 8 years ago I did a farewell exhibit for the venerable Nayong Pilipino park, part of which was scheduled to be demolished to make way for NAIA Terminal III. Well a few months ago I dropped by the site, and was surprised to see much of it still intact:

The Mayon Volcano exhibit: Mayon Bike

The Ifugao Rice Terraces exhibit: Nayong Banaue

Curiously enough - after several years of neglect, the exhibits somehow look more like the real thing.

The Holga I bought in Singapore was typically Singaporean - read: perfectly working - so I had to literally pound it into shape by dropping it on the floor a few times, then melt the plastic lens a bit by putting it to a flame:

Check out those gorgeous light leaks :)
